Psicopedagoga venezolana-española, apasionada por la Enseñanza del español en casa "como lengua afectiva" y especializada en Crianza bilingüe. Ha trabajado en la enseñanza de idiomas en Alemania, España y ahora EEUU. Tras emigrar a EEUU, y observar con preocupación que muchas familias de habla hispana decidían no enseñar español en casa, se dedicó a investigar sobre el tema para ofrecer una solución que promoviese la enseñanza de su lengua materna en la comunidad hispanohablante. En el año 2017, comenzó a trabajar en una línea de material educativo que permite a padres y profesionales hispanohablantes enseñar español de una forma fácil, divertida y efectiva, a través de la cultura que acompaña al idioma, y promoviendo la importancia de la lectura e inteligencia emocional en el proceso de aprendizaje. Ese mismo año, crea su pequeña editorial Clases Listas LLC y con su equipo de venezolanos residentes en distintas partes del mundo y otros profesionales que trabajan desde Venezuela, se dedica a diseñar programas de español para adultos, jóvenes y niños, además de juegos, clases listas, recursos de lectoescritura y mini libros. Ximena escribe, ilustra y dirige a su equipo desde su pequeña oficina en Georgia. Su primer libro infantil Soy la arepa, fue producto de una investigación para dar a conocer la historia de un alimento que ella cataloga como "símbolo de identidad y referencia de hogar del venezolano". Actualmente vive en Atlanta con su esposo Erik, sus tres hijos y su perro Lucky. Es una ratoncita de biblioteca, tiene una colección de cuentos infantiles de distintas partes del mundo y le encanta hacer senderismo, viajar y cocinar comida de distintos países, especialmente platos venezolanos y españoles. She has lived in Germany, Spain and the US, holding various positions related to the educational area and the publishing world such as preschool teacher, Spanish and English Teacher, Special Education Teacher, Educational Consultant for private and public schools in Spain, and facilitator of workshops and talks aimed at teachers, children, and families. After emigrating to the United States, and observing with concern that many Spanish-speaking families decide not to teach Spanish at home, she dedicated herself promote the importance of teaching Spanish at home in the Latin-American community and also decided to design educational resources to teach the language in an effective and easy way. In 2017, she began working on a line of educational material that allows Spanish-speaking parents and professionals to teach Spanish in an easy, fun, and effective way, through the culture that accompanies the language and promoting the importance of reading and emotional intelligence in the learning process. That same year, she created her LLC, a small publishing house Clases Listas LLC and with her team of Spanish speaking friends and family, living in different parts of the world, she dedicated herself to design Spanish programs for adults, youth, and children, as well as games, lessons ready to teach, literacy resources and mini books. Ximena writes, illustrates, and leads her team from her small office in Georgia. Her first children's book Soy la arepa, was the product of an investigation to publicize the history of a food that she classifies as a symbol of identity and home reference for Venezuelans. She currently lives in Atlanta with her husband Erik, their three children, and their dog Lucky. She loves reading, she likes to collect children's picture books from around the world, and she loves to go trekking, traveling, and cooking international food for her family and friends.
